We are proud to carry authentic handknit Cowichan sweaters, vests, toques, mitts, socks, and more. All the Cowichan items are made by local First Nations knitters using the same hand crafting method that has been passed down through generations for over 100 years. Available in sizes for all ages (see measuring chart) from child to adult, featuring a variety of designs including Orca, Eagle, Deer, and geometrics. Made with all natural sheep wool, the wool retains much of its lanolin giving the garments their water repellent quality.
How to size your sweater take three (3) measurements: (1) Chest - all the way around, then add 2-4 inches to allow for breathing room. (2) Arm – measure from centre of chest to wrist (3) Body – measure from centre of neck down to desired length.
